Rebecca Crowley - Medical Expenses

Please help anyway you can, every little bit helps! Or please share on social media. Thank you so much!
My name is Rebecca Crowley. I had planned a vacation to the USA to visit my family and friends whom I hadn't seen in over 2 years. I have been living in Thailand, teaching English. What was supposed to be a fun visit has turned into a nightmare.
About a week before I was scheduled to fly back home to Thailand, I had an accident and suffered severe fractures of several leg, ankle, and foot bones. I suffered a complete fracture of my fibula (basically broken in half) as well as fractures of the tibia, ankle bones, and tarsals. Due to the severity of the fractures, I had to receive surgery to reposition all of the bones, including a steel plate and several pins to hold everything in place. I'm told I won't be able to put any weight on the leg for about 3 months due to the instability of the fractures. Still haven't figured out how I am going to get up and down my 4th floor walk-up apartment!
Thanks to the generosity of family and friends, for taking care of me until I am cleared by the doctors to safely fly back to Thailand without risk of potentially life threatening blood clots on the loooooooooong flights.
Here's my huge, swollen leg.
Why do I need your help?
Please help me with my overwhelming medical expenses and to get home.
As I have been living in Thailand, I don't have health insurance in the USA anymore and costs are astronomical paying out of pocket. Currently my medical bills (including surgery, hospital stay, ambulance ride, orthopedic services, medicine etc.) total around $42,000 with more bills incoming. I will also need physical therapy/follow up and removal of the pins in my leg in the coming year. Luckily, that will occur in Thailand, where healthcare is affordable.
I missed my return flight home and need to re-book a new ticket (I have to pay the difference in the fare, which at this point is the same as paying for a full price ticket months ago).
I have also missed work and haven't had income for a month (my company does not provide paid sick or vacation leave).
Additionally, my visa which allows me to live in Thailand was cancelled as I didn't make it back in time to renew it, but that's a whole 'nother story as well as additional expenses now.
Why didn't you have any health or travel insurance, that's your own fault you moron!
Healthcare including surgery and hospital stays are high quality and affordable out of pocket in Thailand. And most prescription medications in the US are over the counter in Thailand and cheap! I have been living there for 2 years, and was not required to have health insurance in the USA anymore.
I did have travel insurance but unfortunately it doesn't cover me in this particular situation. I am currently pursuing other insurance options to help pay as well, but it isn't looking promising.
To sum up, it's a big ole (expensive) mess and I could really use your help in any way that you can! I feel ashamed to even ask for help, but I'm in way over my head here. If you ever visit Thailand, you can stay with me and I'll be your personal tour guide!
Please share on social media, I really appreciate any help you can give!
Please feel free to contact me directly as well:
