Rebecca Dennis’ Cancer Fundraiser

On Wednesday 15th June 2022, my beautiful best friend Rebecca was diagnosed with a type of blood cancer called Anaplastic large cell lymphoma (ALCL). This is a a non-Hodgkin lymphoma that develops from white blood cells called T cells. While this is an aggressive type of cancer, doctors are confident that it will respond well to treatment. Unfortunately this will mean that Becca needs to go through many months of chemotherapy and other drugs, which will affect her in a number of ways, including feeling poorly and losing her hair.

 

At 22 years old, cancer was not something Becca or any of us were expecting! Becca is an avid West Ham supporter since she was born, and a massive animal lover having volunteered in Costa Rica at an animal sanctuary! She is usually living life to the fullest!

 

Despite NHS funding there are still many unexpected expenses that come with cancer. She wants to live as normally as possible, and any donations will help with the cost of living with cancer and going through treatment. Such as realistic wigs, transport to and from the hospital and equipment to make her time during chemo more comfortable!
