Rebecca Fights Leukemia (T-ALL)
Donation protected
Rebecca Follenweider, my 27 year old sister, was recently diagnosed with T-Cell Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia (T-ALL). The onset of this disease was very sudden and was life-threatening within a few days of her diagnosis. Rebecca is receiving treatment at the University of Chicago Hospital on the same floor where she is a Registered Nurse (RN). Her colleagues and friends are providing her with the best care and she is being supported by close friends and family.
Anyone that knows Rebecca knows that she always puts others before herself and she makes everyone feel comfortable. She has always wanted to take care of people and even hopes to continue her education during her treatment if she feels up to it. Rebecca will likely be out of work for a lengthy period to treat this aggressive cancer. She will be in-patient at University of Chicago Hospital for ~3 weeks and faces an intense round of cancer treatments for the next 5 months. Rebecca will be in treatment for ~2 years to treat her ALL. She is dealing with her diagnosis with incredible poise and courage and she is ready to take on this battle.
Rebecca had only recently graduated from nursing school and needs help managing her medical bills, educational loan repayments, and personal expenses during her treatment and recovery. She will be out of work for a long period of time. The goal of this Go Fund Me account is to reduce her financial stress so Rebecca can focus on getting better. Any contribution you are able to donate will help her tremendously.
Thank you for your time and your positive thoughts for Rebecca. ❤️
