Rebecca Hammer: Funeral and End-of-Life Expenses

We lost our beloved, Rebecca Hammer, tragically and suddenly on August 9, 2023. Once a vivacious and energetic spirit, Rebecca along with her husband Gardner Murphy, had fallen into financial hardship as a result of chronic illness. Her ongoing struggles made it difficult to maintain her physical therapy practice and meet her financial needs and obligations. Her challenges, combined with the recent debilitating illness of her husband, a firefighter and musician, resulted in extreme financial hardship for the couple. Gardner is currently receiving treatment in a rehabilitation facility and our goal is to help ease his financial burden, allowing him the space to grieve and focus on recovery during this most difficult time. Funds raised will go to settling Rebecca’s estate, her end-of-life expenses, memorial, and to help Gardner reestablish his life in recovery.

Rebecca will be remembered as a bright, loving, adventurous, educated, and spiritual woman who touched the lives of those around her. Rebecca was a gifted physical therapist and Rolfer, who shared her knowledge, skills, and healing hands with so many members of her lifelong community for over 25 years. Her passing leaves an immeasurable void in our family and community. Please find it in your heart to give what you can to help cover cremation and memorial costs and final expenses, including a celebration of life to honor her memory.
