It is with a heavy heart to inform you that Thursday, April 6, 2017 at 6:00pm Rebecca (Becca) Parker went to be with Jesus. She is now in the arms of Christ.
Though we are heartbroken and we will miss her greatly she is now healthy and in the presence of her Savior. Becca loved so BIG! Though her time here in this life wasn't long enough it was extremely impactful & touched so many people's lives. I know that my life was change by her and I'm so blessed to have had known her, loved her, and been loved by her. Becca will be missed by so many.
Travis and Brandy are so touched by the amount of love, prayers, support and generous donations from everyone. Although this was a tough time in their lives the amount of support shown from everyone showed just how much Becca touched those around her. Thank you so much for loving Becca and her family. Please keep Travis, Brandy, Connor and their families in your prayers as they take the next steps. Pray for peace and comfort!
John 16:33
“These things I have spoken to you, that in Me you may have peace. In the world you will have tribulation; but be of good cheer, I have overcome the world.”
Rebecca (Becca) Parker was a 16 years old beautiful young women, she was born with 3 holes in her heart. She lived a relatively normal childhood other than yearly visits to the cardiologist. By the time she was 6 years old she was seeing a cardiologist at
Texas Children's Hospital (TCH) in Houston. The doctors soon determined that Becca had another issue other than the holes that were in her atrium and determined she had Left Ventricular Non Compaction Cardiomyopathy. She immediately was put onto medication in hopes her condition could be treated with medicine alone.
When she was in the 7th grade she went into cardiac arrest while at school and was ambulanced to
TCH where she had an ICD implanted. During her freshman year of High School on October 6th she went into arrest again, at that point the team of drs decided that medication alone was not sufficient and she needed to be placed on the Heart Transplant list. She was placed on the list in November of 2015, she waited until June 15, 2016 for the life saving call!!!
We praise God every day for the gift she was given with her transplant. On March 9th 2017 her body started to reject her donor heart. She went to look upon the face of Jesus on Thursday, April 6, 2017 at 6:00pm. Her story on this earth is now complete but her memory and love will always remain and grow strong in all whom she touched.
