Rebecca Walker and her CSF Leak Medical journey

Hi, My name is Janine Jackson and our dear friend Rebecca Mills Walker needs our support!

As many of you know, Rebecca became ill this past December of 2021. After consulting numerous specialist in the medical community and under going many tests and procedures it was concluded that Rebecca was suffering from the ill effects of a possible CSF leak along her spinal chord. This condition has taken Rebecca's ability to live her once vibrant life. She is often restricted to bed rest, wearing a full neck and /or back brace. She is no longer able to work, drive and MOST importantly be the active mother to her 2 beautiful children that she once was.

With much hope Rebecca traveled to Minnasota and was admitted to the prestigious Mayo Clinic this past spring. After 16+ days of test, and undergoing several procedures. Including blood patches, Rebecca was released with the new hope she would return home to heal.

Sadly, this has not been the case. Rebecca finds herself needing to return to the Mayo clinic as soon as possible for additional treatment Below is the latest in Rebecca's own words:

"I’m asking for prayers yet again. This time in two weeks I will be back at Mayo Clinic in Rochester, MN for more tests and procedures. My crazy symptoms started returning not to long after I got back home last time. This CSF leak has literally turned me and my families world upside down. They will be looking for more leaks and seeing if the embolization procedure I had done in April is holding up. It’s discouraging I have to go back, but am thankful for my Mayo team that says they won’t give up on me until I’m better! I pray with all my heart that’s the case

My husband will be taking me on this 1000 mile each way trip this time. Im so very thankful that he can take off and drive me!! My sweet mom unfortunately had an unexpected emergent surgery that she had to have. So she is still in recovery mode.

Please pray that I will get more answers and fixed. Please pray that me and my hubby get to Mayo safely and I do ok with all my tests/procedures. This will put my lumbar punctures at 11 in over a short period of time. Praying my body holds up and God gives me strength.

Pray that my precious children will do good while mommy & daddy are gone again for almost 2 weeks. With the help of grandparents, amazing friends, & a school that loves them, I have a feeling they will "
