SongFest Professional Program 2015

Dear Friends,
Recently I was selected through national auditions to participate in the SongFest Professional Program. This presents a great opportunity for me to develop as an artist and I am asking for your help. While attending SongFest, I will have the opportunity to work with some of the most prolific modern contemporary composers of American vocal music, including Jake Heggie, John Musto, and Libby Larsen. Also, I will have the opportunity to be coached by pianist Martin Katz, who has performed with many famous opera singers who have sung at the most prestigious opera houses around the world. More information about the program can be found online at www.songfest.us.
SongFest has graciously granted me a partial scholarship, but in order for me to take advantage of this exciting opportunity I need to raise $3,000 for the remainder of my tuition and transportation expenses. The funds raised will not only help with my summer plans, but they will also help to make my transition to graduate school easier. In August, I will be moving across the country to Bloomington, Indiana where I will begin my master’s degree in voice, studying with world-famous American soprano Carol Vaness, and making my debut on the prestigious Indiana University Opera stage as Adele in Die Fledermaus in November of 2015. This is a very exciting new chapter of my musical career, but it will take significant financial investment to make it possible.
Your contribution will enable me not only to attend the program but also to work and continue to grow as a performing artist. Thank you in advance for your interest and support!
