Rebelle Rally Team 180 - Land Rover Defender 110

“Perseverance, Inspiration and Challenge” are three key ingredients of success that all women and girls need to hear, experience and embrace! It is for these reasons – and because we are a little crazy - that we - Sarah (PA) and Regi (MD) – both Land Rover enthusiasts and experienced drivers – have decided to take the plunge this year and enter the 2022 Rebelle Rally (Oct.6-15)!

 

The Rebelle Rally – now in its 7th year – is the first women-only off-road navigation competition in the U.S. It is a well-established and respected event that brings over 50 teams of talented women to compete in the Nevada and California deserts for eight straight days. More importantly, the race is about women's empowerment and is designed to inspire women and girls to dream big and to feel encouraged to pursue their dreams – even the wildest ones!

 

Teams compete in a wide range of vehicles, but what makes us unique is that we will be the first team EVER to compete in a Classic Defender – a 1992 200Tdi 110! It is about time for such an iconic vehicle to be represented in this competitive race, and WE NEED YOUR SUPPORT!

 

We do have a really cool sponsorship program available (please contact us separately to find out more about it), but we would really appreciate donations – even small ones - to help us cover the many costs associated with this event – from travel, registration to the obvious parts and repairs needed to get the truck ready and shipped to Nevada from Pennsylvania -.

Now onto the fun facts:

 

- Sarah: Born in Pennsylvania but raised in the great state of West Virginia, Sarah’s love for the outdoors (especially mountains) runs deep. Formally an off-road instructor for Greenbrier Resort in West Virginia, Sarah now works as a mechanic at British 4x4 Specialist, an independent classic Land Rover shop in Hershey, Pennsylvania. She works full time and hopes to save enough money to go to law school for property law. Sarah bought her 92 110 Defender, lovingly named Lola, in the summer of ‘17, and the two have been inseparable since! Participating in all sorts of Land Rover/off-road events across the Eastern Seaboard, she is very excited to take her Lola out across the Mississippi to conquer the Western deserts. In her free time (when not working on Lola), Sarah enjoys skeet shooting, painting, horseback riding, and exploring the Pennsylvania Countryside.

 

- Regi: lady U.S.Marine, passionate about Land Rover and the community since 2014, Regi is a well-known off-road driver on the East Coast. She’s taken her 2004 Discovery 2 to many events and helped organize Oxford’s visit in 2020. Regi also currently owns a 2017 Discovery Dsi6.
