Rebuild 10 Water Wells in Africa
Most of us have daily access to clean water. Many of us have never had to worry about where to get our next drink for ourselves or our loved ones.
Usually, water wells that have been built in Africa are functional for around 6-7 years, after which they deteriorate due to factors such as extended use, soil build-up, and weathering. Once a well is unusable, the drinking water supply is cut off in that village or region, affecting hundreds of children and families that depend on it, as well as their animals. The wells are not easily fixable, and at this point, the people need professional help to get it back up and running.
In Africa, building a new water well costs approximately $5000. But fixing a water well costs only around $1300, and provides the same important access to water that newly-built wells offer for the surrounding people and their animals. So our first goal is to rebuild 10 water wells. Every single well matters.
Everyone deserves a better life, and today we have the ability to support. Be a part of ensuring that everyone has access to this basic human need. Every small gesture and good intention can go a long way.
