Rebuild Alpine Inn: Steve and Carter Need Your Help

Hello, this is Steve Carlsen and Carter Francois of the Alpine Inn in Little Switzerland, North Carolina. We are from Little Switzerland North Carolina and call this place home. We are asking for your support for reconstruction of the Alpine that was destroyed during Huricane Helene. Your funds will be used to hire professionals doing various tasks and jobs to bring the Alpine Inn back to some form of its original history beautiful and relaxing place to vacation. So the funds will go from this charity realm to a secure business account designated for this specific albeit large project.

Now let me tell you about what happened to us and the Inn that lead the Inn to need your help. We are right smack in the middle of the devastation from Hurricane Helene. Thursday morning, the storm started moving at full force. The highway next to us started eroding, and the building started slipping. We had to start moving quickly and getting our guests out, including us and the dogs. Trees were exploding and falling. I got everyone out in time, but emergency crews said we were on our own due to the fact we weren't dying. In order to get to safety, we had to walk the longest 1.2 miles of our lives. Crawling over and under trees, power lines, knee-high mud, and Volkswagen-sized boulders. Building number one, which is our lobby, kitchen, and dining area, is at the bottom of the mountain due to a mudslide. We are now homeless and stuck in limbo and don't know what to do. The insurance company doesn't want to shell out. Any help would be much appreciated for the reconstruction of the Alpine Inn.
