Rebuild American Legion Post 1141

I would first like to state some things about New Haven Legion it’s home to 40 Vets ranging from the 1950’s until present the Legion has been a part of the community for close to 80 years the memories will remain the memorabilia can never be replaced but if we all come together we can and will bring life to the hill again. Along with the Veterans that frequent the Legion there is also the Womens auxiliary who partake in many charitable events and show support to the Veterans in the community. The Legion was a vital part of this little village in South East Illinois. For this small village it was a gathering spot to unwind and relax there was Friday night Fish which everyone loved to come gather eat and socialize with one another this is where many birthday parties Retirement parties and just regular parties have been held. The legion was a place for many to go get a good meal during lunch break or of the evening instead of having to drive 20 miles we could just go to legion hill a few blocks away get a good meal cold beer and good conversation. But most importantly it supported so many Veterans without question or hesitation. All donations from this will go directly to the rebuilding and to continue to help and support the Veterans in and around the community.
