Help Rebuild and Refurnish Claire and Liat's Home

Hi, my name is Christina Wilson and I'm fundraising for my sweet sister Claire and her precious daughter Liat. Last Thanksgiving at 3am an arson set fire to Claire and Liat's home while they were fast asleep. Claire was miraculously awakened and able to bundle up Liat and evacuate safely, but much of their home and possessions were destroyed. This was a terrifying and senseless act of violence from a complete stranger that was finally resolved in court earlier this month, but the pain he inflicted is not over. While the arsonist is technically responsible to pay restitution to several of the victims, the judge and prosecutor along with several others informed them that it's very unlikely they'll ever get anything from it. He has no assets and will be in jail for the foreseeable future. The insurance is covering much of the repairs to the house itself (which is STILL under construction 11 months later), but they are only covering half of the cost of their destroyed possessions. Apart from that, they were not able to cover housing or any cost of living this whole last year that they have been displaced from their home. Imagine having to come up with rent money (with the highest prices we've ever seen) in the middle of a tragedy like this! Let's help! Let's get them back home! Let's take some of that burden from this whole last year and lighten it a little. I'd love to help Claire replace the belongings she lost and won't be compensated for and to help her recover financially from having to pay out of pocket to simply put a roof over her little one's head while their home has been rebuilt.
