Rebuild Beirut
Donation protected
Rebuilding Beirut, Lebanon after the Aug. 4, 2020 explosion. Since, our local hospitals have received giant donations, we have redirected our donations to providing basic living needs for the impoverished and those who have lost everything.
Working with a local NGO called "Min Beib La Beib"(MBLB) which in Arabic means "from door to door".
Currently with foreign aid and large donation help, people are being treated and Beirut is slowly but surely getting cleaned up. The biggest crisis they are in is people not having furniture such as beds and fridges, for basic living conditions.
MBLB on a regular basis collects both used and unused furniture, as well as other necessary items, and donates them to needy families. The primary purpose of this nonprofit is to deliver the essentials to underprivileged families, after visiting them and evaluating their needs.
Given the explosion of Aug. 4th, MBLB will accept our donations to purchase new furniture seeing as the demand for basic furniture has dramatically increased given that hundreds of thousands of homes, already living below the poverty line, have been destroyed.
Also, MBLB provides work to underprivileged individuals. Low skilled workers are hired to drive the delivery trucks, and help unload items. Painters are hired to refurbish and carpenters are paid to fix and install the items in homes.
Our money will be used to purchase furniture/appliances for the homes that have been destroyed, while also helping the who have lost their jobs due to the explosion.
