Rebuild Belfast's Bash Cafe with Mohammed and his family

Edit 07/08: In the immediate aftermath of the attack, Mohammed did not see himself re-opening the cafe. However, he has been so encouraged by the support he has seen on this page from near and far, that he is now looking for options to re-open the cafe in a different location.
You can see his interview last night with AlJazeera here. --> "The few people who are raising their voices loud by damaging business, attacking individuals in the street - this will never, ever succeed."
Edit 05/08: Mohammed has made the difficult decision to close the cafe location on Sandy Row. The internet cafe above it on the first floor will continue to operate. Your support will continue to go towards repairing the damages and restoring the premises. Read Mohammed's statements here.

Hi, my name is Ashton, and I'm fundraising on behalf of Bash Cafe. Mohammed and his family have owned Bash Cafe for several years, having made Belfast home for over a decade.
Bash Cafe offers falafel, Mediterranean food, and Ethiopian coffee. Even more, it's a place to gather in south Belfast for the east African community.
I have highly recommended Bash Cafe to friends, and I was heartbroken to see the damage and destruction caused to this local business with the anti-immigrant and anti-Muslim riots in Belfast on Aug 3rd. The cafe was broken into, windows shattered, and arsoned.
Funds raised will go directly towards repairing the cafe and supporting Mohammed's family.
Personally, I first found Bash Cafe when catering for an event, and I was so pleased with the quality of the service and the warm welcome from Mohammed and the other employees. Businesses and families like Mohammed's make Belfast great, so please join me to help rebuild Bash Cafe.
