Rebuild Botanical Treasures Nursery after Hurricane Helene
Donation protected
Robert has spent the last thirty years dedicating his life to growing the most phenomenal perennials available in the southeastern market. Hurricane Helene undid decades of hard work in mere hours. Every greenhouse is empty, no sun-loving perennials gaze up at the sky, and his office took in 5 feet of water.
While rebuilding his business seems nearly impossible, his team is surrounding him and supporting the effort. If you can support them in this time of unprecedented devastation throughout Western North Carolina and beyond, your donation would not only go to rebuild a business, but to support a beautiful ecosystem, pollinators, and the community.
My name is Cheryl, and I am an owner at Earth Design, a Landscape architecture Firm in Greenville, SC. I have known Robert at Botanical Treasures for about 16 years. I made my way up to the nursery a week after the storm came through because I was still not able to get through and know that everyone was OK. I found the property ravaged by floodwaters, all of the plants washed away, but Robert and his furry companions were all there. The money that we raise here will go to rebuild, reestablish and regrow his business. It takes so much time to grow plants out for the wholesale market - he needs to be able to pay his employees during this time with no income from sales. Your donation will help get this team back on their feet.
