Rebuild Developers Plus and Gaza's Community

Donation protected
Hello,
I'm Taj, and I am launching this campaign on behalf of my brother, who lost his IT company (Software Development) in the ongoing war on Gaza. This campaign aims at ensuring a sustainable future for his company and empowering affected employees and their families with financial independence.
My brother has poured his heart and soul into building this company from scratch. Witnessing his unwavering dedication to expanding internationally, creating employment opportunities in Gaza, and supporting university students and his community has pushed me to rally support for this campaign.
The funds raised through this campaign will enable many employees to go back on track, empowering them to support themselves and their families. This financial stability will not only ensure their well-being but also provide a firm foundation for their mental resilience, and the community's strength.
Thanks

Hello,

I'm Khalil Salim, the founder of Developers Plus, a dedicated Software Development company based in Gaza City. Since 2012, we've been delivering software solutions worldwide. Our services span accessible Web Apps, Mobile Apps, Cloud Solutions, UX/UI Designs, Software Localization, AI, and E-Marketing, adhering to the highest international quality standards. You can view our work in here: https://developers.ps/profile.pdf or on FB https://www.facebook.com/DevelopersPS
or website: http://deveps.com

Developers Plus not only provided for my family but also sustained the livelihoods of 26 dedicated employees, and many others over the years.

Our Initiatives:
  • Empowering the Disabled: At Developers Plus, we develop applications tailored to the needs of the deaf and people with disabilities, driven by our commitment to community service. (check our product solution: Hope System for Deaf )
  • Training and Employment: We go beyond software development by offering training programs that prepare the deaf for the labor market. Additionally, we annually train over 200 students and interns, equipping them with valuable skills as programmers and designers. Also we do summer coding camp for kids.
Developers Plus is a member of the Palestinian Information Technology Association of Companies (PITA), and is registered at the Ministry of Commerce and have been recognized locally and regionally. Also, we have collaborated with international NGOs, like UNICEF and UN.
You can find more of this in HERE.

Current Damage to the Company:
Unfortunately, due to the ongoing war on the Gaza Strip, the company’s losses are immense. Our HQ office in Northern Gaza was demolished, and the status of our other branch in Capital Mall in Gaza City remains uncertain, noting that the mall itself has suffered extensive damage due to nearby airstrikes.
  • Not only that, but my house was also completely demolished. This loss has left my family without shelter and no financial stability for the future.
  • Essential equipment including PCs, laptops, printers, electronics, connectivity tools, network equipment, servers, alternative energy sources, and office furniture has been completely wiped out.
  • Moreover, newly acquired equipment valued at $26,000, purchased just prior to the war, has been lost.
  • Contracts with major clients, both local and international, were terminated, and future collaborations we gone with the wind now.
  • Tragically, many of our employees have experienced personal losses and injuries, and we are struggling to establish contact with some of them amidst the chaos.

Previous similar Hardships:
This isn't the first time we've faced adversity. In 2014, our office in Al Basha Tower was also leveled to the ground in another escalation on Gaza. Despite starting over with minimal support, we persevered. But now, we face an even greater challenge. (Reference: https://twitter.com/Omar_Gaza/status/504136096704245760?s=20 )

Impact on Employees: With no office, internet access, or equipment, loss of property and injuries, they are now unemployed and struggling to provide for their families. Despite my personal financial support the first 3 months, I can’t keep supporting, as I myself am facing uncertainty and hardship.
Most employees lost their laptops, homes and access to internet, and the ones I reached out to are currently displaced.

Aim of this Campaign:
Our path forward is clear:
1)Immediate basic equipment 2)Employee Support 3)Community Restoration

The primary goal of the campaign is to establish a sustainable solution for the long term. Funds raised will be directed towards rebuilding the company infrastructure, preserving employment opportunities, and offering financial independence.
Additionally, the campaign seeks to empower employees by maintaining their connection to the broader world and sustaining their work responsibilities. This initiative not only contributes to their mental well-being but also strengthens their financial stability, providing a beacon of hope amid the surrounding turmoil.

The funds will be used as the following:
During War Plan:
• Location Assessment: Identify a secure location for operations. Tents are a good example now however they are so pricy (a small one costs 500-800$), and we'll need more than 1.
• Equipment Procurement: Secure laptops, PCs, and office supplies through alternative channels. Given the scarcity, existing options come at a high cost.
• Power Supply: Integrate solar power for reliable electricity.
• Connectivity: Ensure access to stable internet and communication.
• Resilience: Develop contingency plans and foster adaptability.
• Work: Reconnecting with previous talents and look for new opportunities

Post-War Plan:
• Reconnecting with clients and customers and seeking new opportunities.
• Reactivating technical support services and launching marketing campaigns.
• Providing support to our employees and repurchasing necessary equipment.
• Hiring new employees to help support community
• Rebuilding of the company’s HQ office and provide it with all necessary equipment.

How You Can Help:
  • Your support is invaluable in our journey to recovery. By financially contributing to our campaign, you're not just helping us rebuild our company; you're also helping us provide resilience to many families of Gaza.
Your contributions will help us acquire the basic materials needed to restart our operations and provide for our employees.

  • You can help by also connecting us with possible clients and sharing our profile with local entities.
