Final Update: We are thrilled to announce that Cathy's ramp is complete! Because of your generous support, we have met our goal!
Thanks to everyone for your generosity and support!
Update: Our funding is going well! We appreciate the tremendous generosity of our community at this time.
Please note that any money raised over the amount needed for this project will be used to rebuild the back porch ramp in Cathy's house which is also in need of repair.
Our dear friend Cathy needs a new handicap ramp for her home.
Cathy has many medical issues as well as being a double amputee. The current ramp leading to her front porch is 25+ years old. This ramp is a safety hazard because of the very steep slope and is not up to code. Cathy has had some serious falls from this ramp and incurred injuries. Having a safe handicap ramp built would allow her to continue living independently in her home.
Cathy's physical limitations have not dulled her delightful sense of humor and she is an absolute joy to all who know her and a valued member of our community.
Rebuilding the ramp would cost around $10,000.00. This would cover everything; the removal of the old ramp and installation of a new, safe ramp including labor and all building materials.
Please help us in fundraising to rebuild this ramp for Cathy.
