Help Rebuild Hocking Family's Home
HELP PUT THIS FAMILY BACK IN THEIR HOME AFTER TERRIBLE SET OF EVENTS, FROM A HEART ATTACK TO LOSING EVERYTHING THEY OWED INCLUDING THEIR FAMILY PETS WHEN THEIR HOME BURNED TO THE GROUND -
On April 7, 2017 an electrical fire broke out leaving a local Raytown family of 5 homeless.
The fire happened while the family was at the local ER trying to get meds to save the life of one of their children. The mother, Tracy Hocking, traveled home only to find her home engulfed in flames.
Due to the impact of watching all of her belongings burning including the family pets that they were not able to get out, Mrs. Hocking had a heart attack.
“We lost everything, including our pets. The family is devastated of course. We don’t even know where to start!”
One of the daughters that lived in the home was set to be married and she too lost everything including her wedding dress that was in the house.
Of the three children living in the home, one child, age 14 is autistic and the other, age 6 is ADHD.
Mrs. Hocking is a homemaker while her husband works for the railroad. This family has been a vital part of Kansas City and are always giving to others before themselves. This family of 5 are now separated from one another to seek shelter to stay warm and dry.
We’re praying for the Hocking family as well as a speedy recovery with the heart attack that was sustained during this tragic event.
