Helping Aida and Her Family Survive the Crisis in Gaza

Donation protected
My name is Aida Abed. I lost both of my children in Gaza, where they were living in a four-story house, with each of my children on a different floor. I lost my eldest son and my youngest son. My eldest son had children, and now, following his death, one of his children is suffering from a brain and neurological issue and requires treatment.

I need your help because I have lost everything—my children, my home, and our property in Khan Yunis. We are now without anything, and we are desperate to start a new life, far away from the war and its devastation. We are exhausted from leaving everything behind, and it has become nothing but a painful memory as we continue to travel, hoping for a chance at peace and a new beginning.

We need $9,000 per person, which is a significant amount. This money is essential for each individual in my family, as it will help us secure food, water, and a decent life. Children have the right to live in peace, just like any other children around the world, and I am hoping for your support to help us rebuild our lives. Please, assist us in this critical time so we can start over and provide the care and stability that we desperately need.

My brother was a kind-hearted philanthropist who always helped others, especially our neighbors. He would share bread and water with them and even charge their phones when they needed it. He lived on the first floor in a beautiful home, furnished with new furniture and a brand-new TV. He was so protective of the TV, fearing it might get damaged, that he placed it in a separate room to keep it safe.

He also had a deep love for trees and took great care in watering them. One day, a cat climbed a palm tree and was unable to come down. My brother tried to rescue her, but every time he got close, the cat would dart away, running to the right or to the left. After four days, the cat was still stuck.

Then, one day, I opened the window and saw the cat coming down by herself. I had always loved that cat, feeding her every day, and she would often sleep in my lap. But the day I lost my brother, I found the same cat lying next to him in front of our house. She was yellow, and sadly, she had passed away with him. Here is a video showing my brother trying to save the cat.
