Help Alicia and Eric's Family after Palisades Fire
Donation protected
In Less Than 24 Hours, They Lost Everything.
Hi, I'm Anna Prager, and I’m reaching out on behalf of my cousins, Alicia and Eric Cohen. On Tuesday, January 7th, they evacuated the Palisades expecting to return home the next day. They never did.
That morning, Eric picked up their son, Leo (4), from preschool, while their nanny, Priscilla—who was home with their daughter, Ava (19 months), and their dog, Milo—made a desperate escape just before the roads were clogged with abandoned cars.
Alicia wasn’t even home; she was in the ER at St. Johns getting stitches for something completely unrelated to the fire. Helpless and terrified, she watched in horror as the Palisades Fire spread with unimaginable speed, praying her family would make it out safely while she remained powerless to reach them.
By the next morning, everything had changed. Their home—the place they had built their lives over the past 5 years and the only home their children had ever known—was reduced to ash. They never had a chance to pack or grab a single cherished item.
And it wasn’t just their home. Their entire community was destroyed—every school, every grocery store, every gas station ⛽, every familiar place that made up their daily lives. There is nothing left to return to.
Alicia, Eric, Leo, and Ava are now facing an unimaginable reality: starting over from nothing. This GoFundMe has been created to help them during this moment of devastation—to cover emergency living expenses, replace what was lost, and provide a foundation to rebuild their lives.
Your generous donations will also help restore a sense of normalcy for the kids. Funds will support ongoing speech therapy for Leo, activities for the children, and even assist their gardener and cleaning lady, who lost their entire business in this catastrophe.
No amount is too small. Every donation is a step toward hope, toward healing, toward helping them take the first steps forward.
Please, if you can, give. Share. Stand with them in their time of need. Because in the face of such overwhelming loss, kindness and community are the only things that will help them find their way forward.
Thank you for your love, generosity, and support. ❤️✨

Below are photos of happier times in their home—what they will always choose to remember. ❤️ The love, the memories, the laughter, the milestones, and the little everyday moments that made it so special. ✨
