Help Cherrelle Rebuild After Losing Their Beloved Luna in a House Fire
Cherrelle, a compassionate soul known for their deep connection to nature and animals, has recently suffered an unimaginable loss. On September 20th, 2024, their tiny home in Lapland, Nova Scotia, which they had lovingly built with their own two hands, was destroyed in a devastating fire. Even more heartbreaking, they lost their beloved companion, Luna—their beautiful dog who was always by their side, offering comfort and unconditional love.
Cherrelle had only moved from London, Ontario, in April of 2023, just over a year ago, to start a new chapter in Lapland. Their tiny home was a labor of love, a sanctuary they had built with the help of their dear friend, Steve, who recently moved his own home from London onto Cherrelle’s land. The two had been creating a shared space of community and connection in the heart of Nova Scotia when this tragic fire struck.
Cherrelle has touched the hearts of so many through their work as a healer, advocate for sustainable living, and nurturing spirit, which shines through their social media presence as @oldearthsoul on Instagram and @youcancallmeSea on Facebook. Their posts often reflect their profound connection to the Earth, a passion for holistic living, and their gentle care for those around them—especially Luna, who was not just a pet but their best friend, protector, and source of unconditional love.
Now, losing Luna has left an indescribable void in Cherrelle’s life, and the fire has left them without a home and many of their belongings. As they begin to navigate the grieving process and the immense task of rebuilding, we are asking for your support.
We have started this GoFundMe/JustGiving campaign to help Cherrelle with the overwhelming costs of rebuilding their home, finding a new place to live, and replacing essential items. Your donations will also go toward helping them heal emotionally from the loss of Luna, perhaps through grief counseling and other forms of emotional support.
Cherrelle has always been a pillar of love and light for their community, and now it's time for us to lift them up. Any amount you can contribute will make a huge difference. Let’s show Cherrelle that they are not alone as they rebuild their life and honor Luna’s memory.
Thank you for your kindness, generosity, and love.
