Rebuild Hope for Heidi and August in St. Petersburg

Hi, my name is Tara, and Cy and I are raising funds for our awesome friend Heidi (Rausch) Anderson and her partner August Elliott. who had just moved to St. Petersburg before the two hurricanes hit.

They spent every penny they had to move to Florida, so this is a particularly rough time for them.

Their home was completely destroyed after 2 hurricanes in a row hit their house within a month of each other. They stayed for the first one, but their house was severely damaged from it. They had started work on it, and then the next one came along, and they evacuated and came back to destruction.

They had just moved to Florida from Ohio, and were looking forward to making a life there. We hope that they can reach the point where they can rebuild and try again to start their lives in St. Petersburg.

Heidi and August have been and will be a great help to their community, helping to create spaces for people and events, fundraising for people and groups that need help, providing support and helping marginalized people get through hard times, doing grunt work for events helping people through their own devastations, educating the community about care and love, all with the mind to help others and strengthen and create community.

They're awesome people, and it's horrible to watch them go through this. We've known Heidi for many years, and would love to help, and this platform makes it easy to help.

They are getting some help from FEMA and a very helpful family member, but the devastation is severe, and they need help from the community also.
