Rebuild Hope for Mary After Tragic Fire
Donation protected
Update: The home was looted the night of the fire AFTER all broken windows and doors were boarded up. How can people take from a homeowner that’s already lost so much?!? A police report was filed.
Also, the money raised will go to not just my mom (homeowner) but also the other 2 residents who also lost everything and are also displaced.
Hi. My name is Cynthia and I’m the daughter of Mary, a retired mother and grandmother who lost her long time home today in a 2-Alarm Fire in San Jose, CA. My mother and spouse, as well as 2 other residents are now displaced for possibly the next 2 years until her home can be rebuilt. Her beloved dog, Lady, sadly passed from the smoke inhalation in this fire.
My mom and our entire family are very thankful she escaped the burning home out of the second story window from a ladder that was used by Eddie (resident) and another man who stepped in to help. Unfortunately, everything in her home is burned and non-salvageable.
My mom will need to find and pay for her temporary housing for the next 2 years all while continuing to pay her mortgage, purchase a new vehicle since hers burned in the fire, and just be able to afford basic necessities.
She’s a very private person but we as her children wanted to help her get through this devastation so any donations would greatly help her. Any amount is greatly appreciated. Thank you kindly.
