Rebuild Hope for My Family After Eaton Fire in Altadena
Donation protected
Dear Friends and Community,
I am reaching out with a heavy heart following the devastating news that my childhood home in Altadena was burned down in the Eaton fire. My family and I are in shock and utterly heartbroken; everything we cherished has been lost in this tragedy. With little time to prepare, we were unable to gather anything valuable or sentimental before it was too late. Everything is gone.
My mom, disabled aunt, and I have lost our home, important documentation of identifications, clothing, shoes, car, important medications, food—the list goes on. It feels overwhelming, and we are struggling to find hope in this difficult time.
This house has been in our family for over 60 years. It is where we celebrated countless birthdays, holidays, graduations, and family dinners. We've shared so many joyful moments and worked through tough times together within these walls.
I am humbly asking for your help to support my mom, disabled aunt, and I get back on our feet. If you can contribute any amount, it would mean the world to us as we begin the long process of starting over from zero. Our main focus is finding housing, safety, and restoring basic needs like food, clothing, and transportation to reclaim our lives.
We are keeping all those affected by these fires in our thoughts and prayers, especially our other family members, friends, and neighbors who have also lost their homes. Together, we can support one another through this challenging time in our Altadena community.
Thank you for your kindness and generosity.
