Rebuild Hope for Renjie & Jing after Wildfire
Donation protected
Hello, friends, family, and kind supporters,
My name is Renjie, and my wife Jing and I are reaching out with heavy hearts but hopeful spirits. We lost our beloved home in Altadena to the devastating LA Eaton wildfire. Now we are facing the emotional and financial challenges of starting over and need your support to help us rebuild our lives.
During the evacuation, my wife and I kept watching the news, praying for everyone's safety, and reassuring each other that, even if we lost everything, we would live on with hope—like a phoenix rising from the ashes. However, when we returned and saw the ruins—only the metal gate and the structure’s frame standing—Jing broke down in tears. The loss hit us deeply, leaving us heartbroken.
We moved to Altadena three years ago with our beloved Ragdoll cat, Baobao. We fell in love with Altadena’s quiet, peaceful charm and the warmth of the community. It became our sanctuary, a place where we built dreams and cherished memories. We want to rebuild our home and continue being part of this wonderful neighborhood, but we are facing financial shortages.
The past month has been incredibly difficult. We’ve navigated the overwhelming tasks of handling insurance claims, managing expenses, and making hard decisions about our future. Each day is a struggle, but we are holding on, supported by the love and care of those around us.
We deeply appreciate any support you can offer—whether through donations, sharing our story, or offering words of encouragement. We sincerely hope that everyone affected by this fire finds the strength to rebuild and thrive.
With heartfelt gratitude,
