Rebuild Hope for the Beardsley Family

Hello! I am Sylvie, a family friend of the Beardsley's. Jared has known me since I was born, and our mothers are best friends. Last year, Jared and McKenna welcomed a beautiful baby into the world, James on September 25th, 2023. They had a beautiful home, also having a dog named Mocha, and are a beautiful family.

Last night as I'm writing this, (on August 20th, 2024), an emergency struck their home when a fire started in their basement, right underneath James's nursery. It was an electrical fire, and luckily Jared had heard the fire alarm and was able to alert McKenna, who had been sleeping with James in her room at the time thankfully. They all made it out safely including their dog. The fire had been mostly contained in the basement, and later they were even able to go back into the house to try to get whatever they could, like some laundry, formula, baby foods, etc. Bare minimum was found, as they just grabbed what they could.

As if things couldn't get worse, the fire reignited at around 4:00 am on August 21st, when they were staying at Jared's mother, Carmin's house. This time, the fire had ventured upstairs. I have seen the outside of the house, and James's nursery window was blown out and charred. Immense smoke damage and some burn damage has been done to the house and furniture. Currently, the family is living with Carmin and is safe.
