Rebuild Hope for the Hamner Family

Donation protected
The Hamner Family are personal friends that just had their lives turned upside down. Luckily, they all survived and are trying to put the pieces together.

Early morning of September 27th, Hurricane Helene came through the Carolinas. David (father), Sherri (mother), and their 3 little girls were asleep. The Hamner family were woken up by a massive tree ripping through their home, pinning the parents in their beds. Sherri was able to get free, and the neighbors helped as the children were able to get out of the home. Unfortunately, David was pinned by the tree, and first responders worked vigorously to free David. Once freed, he was rushed to the ER and was discharged later that day miraculously. The best news is that all are okay, but their home is gone along with their worldly possessions.

Insurance should certainly help, but this will be a long road while they have to rebuild their lives. If you are able to help this family in our community to ease their way back, I’m sure they would be grateful. If you are not able to help financially, please continue to keep them in your daily prayers.

These funds will 100% go to David and Sherri Hamner. This is Brandon Guffey, a personal friend setting this up on their behalf.

Update: anyone that has little girl clothes - ages 5 and 11- they can be brought to 2671 Camelot Drive, Rock Hill SC 29732 (house on corner of Camelot and Westminster). Driveway is on Westminster.
