Rebuild Hot Springs: Support Flood Victims

Hurricane Helene ravaged Western North Carolina, flooding small communities that don't have the funds to rebuild what a Biblical flood washed away.

Hot Springs, NC is one of those communities that is near and dear to so many. A tiny town that plays host to the Appalachian Trail, a world-renowned mineral hot spring spa, one of the most popular campgrounds in WNC, and the French Broad River that wiped it all away. We are a group of volunteers on the ground and in the hearts of the hundreds of people who live and work in businesses that are no longer there. Please help us help them.

AMAZON TOY DRIVE WISHLIST

I am Jeff Varner, a former news anchor with dear friends and family among the victims of the Hot Springs flood. I've lived in those mountains for years and know these people. They've taken care of me, cooked my food, offered me shelter, and played a powerful role they don't yet understand in bringing peace and focus to me and so many others lost in the chaos that is our world today.

Our toy drive will take the weight off the shoulders of the parents when it comes to giving their children a good Christmas at a time they'll always remember. This fundraiser's goal is to help provide cash offerings to the adults struggling to make ends meet. Their source of income is temporarily gone. This effort intends to provide the town's small businesses flooding ruined with funds and materials, speeding up the process of getting people back to work. I will work closely with the town to ensure each dollar lands where it is most needed.

There are thousands of people who have had their lives enhanced by this wonderful small town. We intend to provide them an outlet to pay this struggling community back for all it has given us. We thank you for considering a donation.
