Help Rebuild Nepal Animal Shelter From Disastrous Landslides

On September 27th, our facility, KAT Centre Nepal, experienced a devastating landslide, marking the third such event since the end of July. These natural disasters, caused by relentless rainfall, have left our facility in ruins and require urgent attention.

While our dedicated staff, their families, and the animals are safe, our operations have been severely disrupted. The extensive damage demands urgent repairs, threatening our primary mission: caring for vulnerable animals in the Kathmandu area. We urgently need your support to restore our facility to full operational capacity.

The most affected areas are our intake clinic, isolation area, kennels for dogs in medical treatment, our cat house, restrooms, and laundry facilities. The extensive damage to the dog kennels and foundation necessitates stabilization and rebuilding.

Also, our newly renovated puppy area, designed to provide a safe space for puppies and young dogs to heal and play, has also been 100% demolished. Keeping puppies separate from adult dogs is crucial; with their weaker immune systems, this ensures they have a chance to grow healthy and minimizes the risk of communicable diseases.
