Help Rebuild Keswick Creamery!
Donation protected
In the early morning of December 13, 2022, a fire burned the Keswick Creamery milking parlor, milk house, and cheese plant. It was an electrical fire that burned quickly through the entire block building with incredible heat. All humans and animals, except for one beloved kitty, are okay. Thank you to the local fire companies who showed up immediately, knocked it down quickly, and contained it to just one building.
Keswick is currently accepting any and all donations to rebuild as quickly as possible. While we have insurance, it will not cover the staggering cost of a complete rebuild. Funds donated will be used for:
-a new milking parlor and milk house
-a new cheese plant
-all associated equipment (e.g. milk tank, pasteurizer, cheese molds, etc.)
Keswick Creamery has been a steady force in the local food community, bringing fresh and tasty cheeses, yogurt, and pudding to customers with pride. We'd like to help them get back to that as soon as possible! Thank you for your generosity in helping Keswick get back on their feet after this devastating loss.
If you'd like to donate in another way, you may Venmo @KeswickCreamery with the note "Rebuild" or mail a check to: Melanie Dietrich Cochran, 114 Lesher Rd, Newburg, PA, 17240. A fire fund has also been established at Orrstown Bank, where checks can be made out to "Melanie Dietrich Cochran" with "fire fund" in the memo.
Thank you all! -Sharon, a long-time friend of Melanie and Keswick
