Rebuild Lives: Aid for Hurricane Affected Family

In the aftermath of Hurricane Helene, Autumn and her family have experienced over 5 feet of flooding in their home resulting in the loss of the essentials we all rely on like the fridge, freezer, washer, dryer, and wifi for communications during emergencies.

They continue to be without power including their air conditioning while dealing with daily temperatures of 80f degree and high humidity.

On top of that, their personal belongings are all gone now. Especially the items they need most at this time - beds, furniture, clothes, linens - everything is lost!

The home is badly damaged with the water impacting the structure from the floor to roof, everything is in need of being repaired as best they can.

They are kind souls that care for kittens and cats, who have been through the stress of hiding from the flooding for hours. Unfortunately a mother cat and one of her baby kittens did not survive the hurricane.

This family has been through a traumatic experience, as have many in the regions that have been effected by this destructive hurricane. As an online community, hopefully we can do what we can to help those who are struggling to improve their situation as best as possible right now.
