Rebuild Mikeys Memorial Truck

On sept 18, 2008, 4 Chinook Helicopters left Kuwait heading for Iraq to start their 9 month tour in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom.   At approximately 1150 pm on the 17th of Sept, one helicopter went down.  Red River 44 crashed for reasons unknown taking the lives of 4 Texas Soldiers, and 3 Oklahoma Soldiers.  My Son, US Army Cpl. Michael Eyre Thompson was the door gunner on that aircraft.  
I ended up with Mikeys pickup truck and had it airbrushed and painted up as a tribute to his service to this great nation.  On June 26th of 2019 the truck was stolen out of my driveway and involved in a rollover crash about 2 miles from our house.  It is a total loss rolling over into a sandstone ditch.  Thankfully, nobody was hurt.   I cannot let this truck end its life and service in this manner.  I have to try to get it back together in memory and tribute to Mikey.  I made the comment that it wpuld never be the same, and I know it won't .  BUT, it will continue with the help of the scores and scores of folks who are willing to pitch in and help male it happen so it will be a tribute to Michael, yes, but will also be a tribute to ALL who pitch in and help us make it whole again.  This pickup has in it's former glory escorted no less then 15 KIA's from the Iraq/Afganistan wars, but also scores and scores of WWII vets, Korean War Vets, and Viet Nam vets to their final resting place with the Oklahoma PGR.  Yes.  I hadn't done many missions in the last couple of years,  but these missions take an emotional toll on anyone who does them with any frequency.  
Please find it in your heart to help keep this truck and legacy alive.
