Rebuild Munro College: Help After Hurricane Beryl

Donation protected
My name is Dr. Fiona Vaughans, and I was born in Bull Savannah, St. Elizabeth, Jamaica, WI. On July 3, 2024, while visiting my family Hurricane Beryl unleashed its fury on the South Coast of St. Elizabeth, Jamaica, WI, and one of its most heart-wrenching casualties was Munro College. The once vibrant and bustling building, filled with the laughter and energy of students, was reduced to a skeleton of its former self. Powerful winds tore off the roof, while torrential rains flooded the classrooms, destroying books, blackboards, and cherished student projects. Windows were shattered, and walls were left crumbling, exposing the vulnerability of what had been a cornerstone of the community.

The devastation of the school by Hurricane Beryl was more than just physical; it struck at the very heart of the community. I spend a lot of time organizing Zumba Masterclasses to raise money for various scholarship funds for students attending Munro College. This loss will disrupt the education of hundreds of students and leave teachers and staff grappling with the emotional toll of seeing their place of work in ruins.

Efforts to rebuild will be arduous and costly, requiring immense support from outside resources and the resilience of the community. Every dollar collected will go directly towards rebuilding our beloved school.

Thanks in advance for helping Munro College!
