Rebuild Natty's Home After Hurricane Beryl
Donation protected
My name is Jacqueline Pryce-Harvey and I'm a retired principal from NYC, presently living in Montego Bay, Jamaica. This is the house of my good friend, Hilbert Watson also known as Natty. He is a fisherman and boatman that takes visitors from Parottee Bay to Pelican Bar in St. Elizabeth, Jamaica. This is a favorite trip for both my Jamaican friends and family as well as visitors. It's one of the most iconic bars in the world, built on a sandbar in the middle of the sea and only accessible by boats. Natty gained my respect and that of my friends when he waited standing on his boat during a rainstorm and smiled when he picked us up.
Hurricane Beryl devastated his home and his livelihood. Since the hurricane, several of his friends have been assisting and we are keeping the family fed. I would like your assistance in replacing his board house with a concrete one. Same size, same location and no extras; just a concrete structure with a secure roof to keep him safe when the next hurricane rolls in. Natty is a humble, hard-working man that deserves our help.
Once this fundraiser concludes, I will deliver the funds to the contractor of Natty's choice who will then complete the construction of his house, working alongside Natty. We will send pictures of the completed structure. Thank you for your support of Natty!
