Rebuild Negril: Help with West End Recovery Post-Beryl
Donation protected
On July 3rd, Category 4 Hurricane Beryl barreled through Jamaica and our community on the West End in Negril, leaving ruin in her wake. This came on the tail end of a season where most went without access to consistent running water.
Each member of the community has been devastated by the impact of the storm. Many people have been left without roofs and have lost all their belongings to water damage as well as having been left without power, water, or cell service. Our space suffered extreme damage to critical infrastructure. The impacts of this storm will be felt for years.
We have been positively overwhelmed with all of the kind offers of help and support from many of our past guests at The Wake 'N Bake Café at CanJam Retreat; it truly means so much to us.
As a result, we set up this GoFundMe page with the hope of raising an initial goal of $20,000 to begin rebuilding here in the Westmoreland community of Negril.
