Please help rebuild our daughter and her partner’s life

Building a life together was their goal and they were well on their way.

Our daughter and her boyfriend lived and worked at Jasper Park Lodge. They had just settled into life out west since moving there over a year ago.

In their late 20’s with their lives ahead of them, they had established themselves at the resort. Brittany was serving at the various restaurants at JPL. Christian was not only a member of the security staff, he was also recently promoted to Deputy Fire Chief for the resort. The goal was to make enough money to put a down payment on a house. Life was great! They loved their jobs, their new friends and their home.

When the evacuation order was issued they had time to grab their important documents, their two cats and the clothes on their backs. They drove west and finally settled for a few days in Whistler. The Fairmont community put them up for three days, including food and care packages.

They were hoping to hear word that the fire had left their apartment intact.

Unfortunately that is not the case. Besides their important documents and their cats, they have lost everything. Their home and their jobs. They are not sure what to do next. Their savings will now be eaten up just trying to get their feet back on the ground.

This is why we have started this campaign. We want to help them start over and find their feet. We want them to be able to continue building the life they had just started together. If you are able, please help any way you can.
