Rebuild our harvest project
Our team is disappointed and a little broken, but our mission will continue!
It’s really sad that we share the devastating news that the produce garden for our Teens Take Control Inc Better Man Harvest Project was maliciously vandalised last night. Over the past 3 months, our dedicated staff and hardworking students poured their hearts and souls into cultivating this garden, which was set to provide fresh, free produce to families in need in our community.
Sadly, in just a few hours, all of that hard work was destroyed. The damage is estimated at over $40,000 in lost materials, supplies and well over $50,000 in labour.
This is a devastating blow, but it will not deter us from our mission.
Teens Take Control Inc. is a non-profit organisation that empowers young people to stay engaged in school and give back to their community. The Better Man Harvest Project is a key part of this, teaching valuable agricultural skills while also nourishing our community. The students and Danny take immense pride in watching their garden grow and have been excited for the opportunity to distribute the harvest.
We don’t normally do this but we are in desperate need. So now we are asking for the community's help to rebuild. We need to raise as much money as possible to replant the garden and restore what was lost. Your donation, no matter the size, will make a real difference in the lives of the young people we teach and the families who will benefit from our free produce.
Together, we can show these vandals that their actions will not stop us. We will rebuild, and we will continue empowering our students to become better people while uplifting our entire community.
Please consider making a donation today. Every dollar will go directly towards replanting the garden and ensuring our important work can continue.
Thank you for your support. With your help, we will come back stronger than ever.
Sincerely,
