Rebuild School for Disabled Children With Autism
Tax deductible
The PAAL school, “Preparing Adolescents with Autism for Adult Life”, a non-profit program for children and young adults with Autism, is facing a devastating loss from Hurricane Ida. Flood waters and wind destroyed the entire first floor of the school. For all of the 40 families we serve, the kids have lost their second home. The school and its staff have achieved so much in their efforts to prepare these individuals for a life that some said they would never have. 25 years of hard work and passion washed away in a moment.
Our community united to survive the pandemic, but we need your help to not be crushed by this. The storm incurred over $100,000 of damages to the equipment, technology, and furniture at PAAL. Insurance does not cover flood damage, which leaves the items at a total loss.
Your donation will allow our school to once again flourish in our mission to educate children with autism and provide the services they need to live a happy life. PAAL is not just a school; it is a family. Please help rebuild our students lifeline. Big or small, any donation will make a tremendous impact! We are so thankful for the love and support to fight through this destruction.
