Help Support Yohannes Malibu Art Studio

I, Yohannes Yamassee, artist based in Malibu for the past four years. I am asking for assistance to support my studio and artwork lost, along with pitching architectural design concepts to the City of Malibu for an art bunker.

January 7th, 2025, I’ve lost my art studio - home full of work for 15 plus years in Malibu due to the Palisades Fire. It was significant in many aspects, from fine art paintings, design projects, and sculptures for Disney, Marvel, Virgil Abloh, and many more. Words can’t describe what I am feeling at this moment losing this part of my life.

This current chapter in my life has been challenging. However, I will eventually understand why I am placed here in this position. I pray it is meaningful for growth that will endure the breath of longevity.

For now, my thoughts live with building an artist/artifact bunker in Malibu that will provide artifact housing for Malibu locals in times of danger.

There must be a place where the community can have their art/artifacts protected and preserved during times like these. This support is needed for the Malibu community and my steps are to accomplish this by the next fire season.
