Please help us raise money to restore the back country of Heart-J Center at Sylvan Dale Ranch following a massive fire taking over Northern Colorado. This ranch was the main retreat location for our services to prevent suicide. More details below:
On Monday, July 29th, emergency responders received a notification about a wildfire on Alexander Mountain near Sylvan Dale Guest Ranch in Northern Colorado. As of Aug 1st, the fire is 1% contained and stretched over 7,500 acres.
Heart-J Center owns 960 acres of foothills forest and meadow, all burned in the fire. Assumed lost is an historic homestead built in 1915 that had long served as an inspiring backcountry getaway.
The Heart-J Center envisions that this funding will enable the establishment of a new backcountry retreat center, ensuring ongoing service to individuals on this remarkable land. Additionally, the center plans to advance scientific research across several critical areas, including forest resilience, wildlife recovery, watershed health, and climate change. This initiative will not only honor the rich history of the landscape but also provide impactful experiences for our clients at CRF and beyond.
