Help the Alvarez-Salazar Family Recover from the Eaton Fire

Our beloved neighbors, the Alvarez-Salazar family, lost their Altadena home in the Eaton Fire this week. Oscar, Josephine, Elise, Edrik, and Ethan moved to Altadena 13 years ago and are an integral part of our Altadena & La Cañada community.

Elise, Edrik, and Ethan all attended La Cañada High School and held important leadership roles within the La Cañada Instrumental Music Department. Elise and Edrik were heavily involved in the LCHS Marching Band; Elise served as the band’s Sergeant Major in 2019 and Edrik became its Woodwind Captain in 2022. Ethan is the President of the LCHS Orchestra and is currently interning at the United Democratic Headquarters and the Congressional Youth Advisory Council. All three have made significant contributions to our music department and the school community as a whole.

We are devastated by the loss of their lovely home and many possessions. Throughout the years, the Alvarez-Salazar family generously opened their home to us, hosting music program events and student gatherings. Their house has held countless memories which will always be cherished.

Please help the Alvarez-Salazar family and bring them back to Altadena. All proceeds will go directly to the Alvarez-Salazar family to rebuild their home and restore their lost belongings. Thank you in advance for your support.
