Revitalize the Hythe Motor Speedway - Phase 1

The Hythe Motor Speedway is a volunteer run 3/8-mile high banked asphalt oval located in Hythe, AB. The track opened in 1995 and is run by the Peace Area Motor Sports Association, a non-profit group made up of numerous volunteers. Our facility is one of the most exciting oval tracks in Western Canada but is showing its age.

The purpose of this fundraiser is to help raise the funding necessary to complete Phase 1 of our revitalization project. Phase 1 will be the complete repave of the 3/8-mile oval track. The surface of the current track is now over 30 years old and has held up well for its age but needs new asphalt. This repave will provide a major facelift to our facility, attract additional racers and classes, and help extend the life of the racers tires. Phase 2&3 will consist of paving the infield of the track. This will expand the usable area for our racers but also allow our facility to host additional events like drift shows, autocross, monster trucks, drive-in movies, drivers training courses, and community events just to name a few.

The total cost of Phase 1 is approximately $330,000. In addition to the funds our club has been saving we have applied to grant programs with the County of Grande Prairie. . We hope to revitalize our facility and help make the Hythe Motor Speedway a hub for the entire Peace Country. *If we are unable to secure the necessary funding for this project, monies raised through this GoFundMe project will be returned to their donors.
