Rebuild the Iconic Jack Miner Front Fence
I'm raising money to benefit THE JACK MINER MIGRATORY BIRD FOUNDATION , and any donation will help make an impact.
The Jack Miner Migratory Bird Sanctuary has been around since 1904. It is a not for profit organization that protects migratory birds during their migration. It is a private foundation and is funded solely on donations.
Our front fence surrounding the viewing pond unfortunately had to be taken down in 2019 due to it being unsafe. This fence helps keep the birds safe, predators out and encloses the area so that children can't run out to the road. It was originally built and funded by Henry Ford, a lifelong friend and supporter of the sanctuary. After many years of protecting our wildlife it's condition diminished and it was best to remove it. A temporary fence has stood in it's place over the last year and it's finally time for us to rebuild the wall.
Construction has begun. A 250 ft bricked wall will take it's place, with strong aluminum fencing placed in between the pillars. Lighting along the front will give extra safety and enhance the beauty of the property.
Thank you in advance for your contribution to The Jack Miner Migratory Bird Sanctuary front fence project. Your contribution is truly appreciated.
