Rebuild the Valenzuela, Sanchez, Moody Quartito

Dear Friends, Family, and Supporters,

On the day of March 25th, 2025, our family’s beloved quartito was tragically destroyed by fire. It is with heavy hearts that we reach out to you, asking for your help as we rebuild not only the structure but the memories and traditions that mean so much to us.

Many of you know us for our annual matanza, a cherished event that brings our family, friends, and neighbors together to celebrate and honor our culture. For generations, the Valenzuela, Sanchez, and Moody families have worked hard to make this tradition come alive. Ensuring that each year is a celebration of food, laughter, and love. However, the fire took much more than just our building—it took years of collected family heirlooms, tools, and equipment that our elders spent decades acquiring, all to make our matanza possible every year without a hitch.

We have always been a family that values self-reliance and hard work. But now, as we face the devastation of this loss, we humbly ask for your support to help us rebuild, stronger than ever before. Our elders, who have poured their hearts into creating a place where memories are made, are devastated. What was lost in the fire is irreplaceable, but with your generosity, we hope to rebuild it and create new memories that will honor the traditions they fought so hard to preserve.

Family has always been at the core of everything we do. It’s what keeps us going, no matter the obstacles life throws at us. Our family motto has always been that no matter what, we will rise like a phoenix because familia es todo (family is everything), and we are asking for your help to rise from the ashes of this tragic event as we as a family always pride ourselves on never asking for help. With your support, we know we can rebuild not just our quartito, but also our spirits and our faith in the strength of community.
