Rebuild Tommy's Life After Devastating Fire
Donation protected
It's hard to imagine your home going up in flames any time, but for it to happen on Christmas Eve is truly a worst nightmare. The fire in Tommy Rao's apartment building on Green Street, Newport started in the basement. No injuries were reported and the cause is under investigation. Meanwhile, he is left devastated with few salvageable belongings. Fortunately, Tommy's cat, Kidd, was miraculously saved by firefighters, however he suffered smoke inhalation damage and was admitted to Ocean State Vet for overnight care.
Tommy is always among the first to help when a friend is in need, something I can attest to personally. He has also been a strong supporter of his community for decades by participating in activities with Big Brothers, organizing blood drives for the RI Blood Center and delivering Meals on Wheels, to name a few.
Now Tommy needs our help to rebuild his life. Sadly, certain items cannot be replaced, but we can help him start over and purchase those that can. During this season of giving, please find it in your hearts to help if you're able, even if it's with a call or a text. I know that Tommy will appreciate your support.
