For over 30 years, Two Dragons Martial Arts (TDMA) has been a beacon of strength, discipline, and community in Altadena and Pasadena. Founded by Sipoo Shelene Hearring and her late husband, Si Tai Gung Steve Hearring, TDMA has empowered countless individuals through martial arts, fostering leadership, confidence, and respect.

Tragically, the Eaton Fires destroyed our studio, leaving our cherished community hub in need of your support. TDMA has always been more than just a martial arts school—it’s a place where families grow stronger, friendships flourish, and character is forged.

Our Legacy

TDMA was founded on the principles of excellence, respect, and empowerment. Under the leadership of Si Tai Gung Steve Hearring, a Martial Arts Hall of Fame inductee, and Sipoo Shelene Hearring, a renowned martial artist and instructor, the studio developed a unique system blending Chinese Kenpo, Northern Silum Kung Fu, and Yang Style Tai Chi Chuan.

Despite the challenges of Steve's passing in 2007, Sipoo Shelene has continued their shared mission, serving the community as a sole owner and chief instructor. The studio has been recognized with numerous accolades, recognized in the Best of Pasadena for 10 consecutive years, and the LA County 5th District John Anson Ford Human Relations Award.

At TDMA, we believe martial arts training goes beyond physical skills. It strengthens character, fosters leadership, and builds a sense of community. Our students learn to be disciplined, compassionate, and resilient—qualities that extend into every area of life.
