Rebuild Zachary's Farm: Stronger Greenhouses Needed

My name is Zachary Adam Thatcher. I live in Sikeston, Mo. and I'm raising funds to rebuild my farm with a new greenhouse after a recent storm destroyed both of my greenhouses.

I have been growing Aloe Vera in homemade greenhouses for the last three years, gradually working my way into commercial plant production.

It started when my late friends grandmother gave me two Aloe Vera plants. One died and from the other I made all the rest.

I began in a 12x30 foot greenhouse in my backyard then after a year of growing I moved to another property and built a 12x70 foot greehouse. Once I filled it up with Aloe pups I again looked for more space. After searching for a while I found the perfect property to build out long term.

On the current property I built two homemade 12x100 foot greenhouses and began increasing numbers. I got them both filled up after about 6 months of work and everything looked beautiful!

I used wood burning stoves all winter long. Every night the temperature was below freezing I was out there adding wood to the stoves. It was certainly a challenge.

Here we are in March past all the freezing cold temps and I felt pretty good about keeping the plants alive all through the winter.

But on March 14th a powerful storm blew through Southeastern Missouri and completely destroyed both of my greenhouses.

Lucky the majority of the plants are okay but now I need to hurry as quick as I can to raise funding for a new greenhouse to grow and protect my babies.

I don't want to build back the same way I built before. I want to build back stronger and better than before. With a steel framed greenhouse that can help us grow for many years to come.

I am asking you humbly to help me raise enough money to buy a new greenhouse for my Aloe Vera Plants.

You can ask anyone who knows me and they'll tell you that I usually don't ask for help and I always try to figure it out on my own but in this moment I need some help.

I'm asking for $12,000. The 30x120 ft steel frame greenhouse is $9,999 plus tax and we'll need a bit extra for miscellaneous expenses to get it built.

When I am fully funded, I will share every step of the process with you as we turn the page on this disastrous moment and build a stronger and better greenhouse for the future.
