There's good news and bad news! The insurance covers the extremely expensive damage to the building, but not the damage to my studio. I estimate this to be at least 10,000 euros so that I can continue working as before. However, this ensures the continued existence of the building and our project. On Friday, 20 September 2024, a major fire was caused by a diesel compressor catching fire, which severely damaged our studio building.

I spent more than 10 years converting this old farmhouse, investing an enormous amount of time, to create a special place of art, freedom and love, which includes a small self-sufficient farm.
We are a community of two men and three women who work and create art here.
I am a wood artist, Cheyenne is working as an alternative healing practitioner, Feya is a painter and dancer, Christiane works with textiles, and Pirmin is a shoemaker.

The police estimate the property damage at over €100,000. It is not yet clear whether there is insurance that covers the damage to the building envelope and the roof.
There is no insurance for the damage to my workshop itself, so I will have to pay for the damage myself.
In particular, the electrical installations need to be restored, my photo and video equipment has been burnt, my car trailer and the large compressor for sandblasting need to be replaced. The biggest damage, however, is the complete contamination of my studio with toxic soot. Every surface, even in the tool cabinets, must now be decontaminated. This will require special equipment or a specialist company, as well as the disposal of the burnt material. My loss of earnings must also be financed somehow.

Am Freitag, 20.9.24, wurde durch den Brand eines Dieselkompressors ein Großbrand ausgelöst, der unser Atelierhaus schwer beschädigt hat.

Dieses alte Bauernhofgebäude habe ich über 10 Jahre mit enormen Zeitaufwand zu einem besonderen Ort der Kunst, der Freiheit und der Liebe umgebaut, dazu gehört eine kleine Selbstversorgungslandwirtschaft.
Wir sind eine Gemeinschaft von 2 Männern und drei Frauen, die hier arbeiten und Kunst machen.
Ich bin Holzkünstler, Cheyenne ist Heilpraktikerin, Feya ist Malerin und Tänzerin, Christiane macht Textilarbeiten, Pirmin ist Schuhmacher.

Der Sachschaden wird von der Polizei auf über 100.000 Euro geschätzt. Ob es eine Versicherung gibt, die den Schaden an der Gebäudehülle und dem Dach übernimmt, ist noch nicht geklärt.
Für den Schaden an meiner Werkstatt selbst gibt es keine Versicherung, hier werde ich selbst für den Schaden aufkommen müssen.
Insbesondere ist hier die Wiederherstellung der elektrischen Installationen zu nennen, mein Foto und Videoequipment ist verbrannt, mein Autoanhänger, der große Kompressor zum Sandstrahlen muss ersetzt werden. Der größte Schaden ist allerdings die völlige Verschutzung meines Ateliers durch giftigen Ruß, jede Oberfläche, auch in den Schränken, muss nun dekontaminiert werden. Dazu wird Spezialquipment oder eine Spezialfirma notwendig sein, sowie die Entsorgung des verbrannten Materials. Auch muss mein Verdienstausfall durch die anstehenden Arbeiten finanziert werden.
