We had a mandatory evacuation from are home in Port Aransas. We are due to welcome the newest addition to the Weeks Family this Tuesday August 29 2017.
Number 1 priorty was to get family to saftey. There just wasnt much time to get eveything and per the news on Thursday the hurricane was headed straight for Corpus Christi. Do to my Wife's condition we could not travel far. If we were not close to a hospital and she went into labor, we could have lost the baby or even my wife. We checked into a Best Western on Alpine and SPID on Thursday afternoon. We settled in for the night to ride the storm out as we woke up at 6:30am to a knock on the door. Hotel managment telling us we had till 10:00am to be out due to they were closing. So once again we had to pack up and luckly we were watching the news and the Hoilday Inn on shoreline drive was staying open. They were also having the News crews , Red Cross , Nationl Guard and other Evacuees as well. So we checked in friday to the Hoilday Inn. Then friday mid-day the news said it had changed and was headed right for Rockport and Port Aransas. By this time the Island was already shut down and so we Prayed for the best. This is where we rode the Storm out. We just had Janet Weistein from ABC News which has become a really good friend and keeps checking in on us and the kids to see if were ok. She brought us pictures of the RV park where we were living. Our trailer is mangled and flipped over with our belongings spread through the property. We have lost everything besides what we could pack in the car. As many people that know us I am the type not to ask for help but I am in a position where I have no choise. We our trying to raise money so we can start over before Bella starts back to school and the new baby arrives so anything helps and God Bless.
