Rebuilding Black Small Businesses in Philadelphia
Donation protected
The Tau Delta Phi Fraternity has the core value of surrounding ourselves with men of good character. In recent weeks, citizens across the nation have all been coping in various ways with the heartbreaking events involving George Floyd, Ahmaud Arbery, Breonna Taylor, and many others. Peaceful protests have assembled in major cities across the country, but unfortunately many lootings and violent riots have occurred within the United States. Some of these lootings have resulted in damage to small businesses, including those owned by people of color, who have worked hard to start these stores which have already been hurt from the current Coronavirus Pandemic. It is imperative that all people regardless of race, creed, or background band together to help these people in this time of need. The Tau Delta Phi Fraternity wants to bring people together as a nation to donate 100% of all funds raised to an initiative to give back, known as “BUILD B(L)ACK PHILLY”. With a city so close to our Delta Sigma chapter’s home at Rowan University, we want to help those affected by the recent looting and destruction. We encourage you to share this with as many people as possible!
